There are endless advantages to being bilingual, as it paves the way to exploring a new culture and communicating with different people.
Children at young ages have a stronger ability to absorb the information they are exposed to. In our school, we use English as coomunication and education language during all day. In accordance with the principles of 21st Century Language Teaching, teacher speaking time is minimized in our foreign language lessons, while student speaking time is maximized. There are educators who are native speakers with the ability to teach through play and in more traditional ways depending on different ages in SPS.

For years it has been thought that teaching a foreign language to preschoolage children would be futile.
However, recent studies indicate that the best time for a child to learn another language is in the first three to four years of life. During this period and especially the first five years of life, the foundations for thinking, language, vision,attitudes, aptitudes, and other characteristics are laid down. Consequently, it would be a waste not to use a child’s natural ability to learn during his or her most vitalyears, when learning a second language is as easy as learning the first.
Kids at early age can learn by listening, seeing, imitating, and practicing. At SPS Preschool we ntroduce them to rhymes, songs, games, and counting in a second or third language. And most we do our best to make learning fun.

On the other hand, bilingualism is reported to have a positive effect on the brain when acquired at an early age.
It has been observed that students who speak more than one language perform better in mathematics and reading skills than their peers. In addition, it was observed that children who were involved in learningtwo languages in early childhood are more skilled in focusing on relevant information, as well as ignoring irrelevant and misleading stimul. Therefore, two languages support critical thinking and improve problem solving. Learning a second language can also improve native language skills. In general, not much attention is paid to grammatical structures of the native language, but when the second language highlights the functioning of grammar, awareness about grammar increases. These transferable skills give bilingual individuals more information about their native language, so they use language more effectively both in communication and in writing.
There is no better time to acquire second or third language skills than when you are a child.
